At Helsby Hillside Primary School, badgers in and around the playing fields were becoming an increasingly regular occurrence. This was likely due to a recent badger sett disturbance nearby but all this new activity was starting to cause problems for the school. A local resident told us about the issues so we got in contact to see if there was anything we could do to help.

After visiting the school, we installed 230 linear metres of badger proof post and rail fencing free of charge to help mitigate the problem.

A big thank you to Mark Wynn who carried out vegetation clearance works for free so we could install the fencing, and to Stockdale fencing who kindly supplied the fencing at a preferential rate.

“As we are constantly battling financial pressures, RSK Habitat Management’s generosity is hugely appreciated” – Adam Khan, Helsby Hillside Primary School Headteacher
